As we wrap up July, we're excited to share the latest updates to the Lattice platform. This month’s releases are designed to streamline performance management, enhance compensation workflows, boost engagement insights, and refine platform functionality.

Streamlining Reviews With Efficiency and Deeper Insights

We’ve introduced several updates to streamline performance reviews, talent reviews, and calibration workflows — all critical parts of a robust talent management strategy.

Performance Reviews and Calibrations: Admins can now easily export review data across multiple cycles, removing the need for manual aggregation. Plus, we released a new calibration group facilitator role and redesigned the table view for performance reviews to enhance usability and permissions management, making calibrations faster and more efficient than ever before. The new experience includes:

  • Redesigned UI that that makes the most of your screen space
  • Shortcuts for accepting, changing, submitting, or reverting employee performance ratings
  • Easier ways to show or hide columns and perform bulk actions, like adding tags
  • A facilitator role to help bridge the permissions gap between admins and calibration group participants

Additionally, Lattice Talent Reviews now features distinct phases (Pre-launch, Launch, Start Calibration, and Close Cycle) and improved bulk uploads for calibrated ratings, making it faster for companies to identify their workforce’s performance and potential at any time.

Lastly, we’ve introduced a new results experience for org chart reviews. This new reporting now includes all rating questions, goals, competencies, and weighted scores. With enhanced performance and the ability to use all fields for comparisons, breakdowns, and filters, this feature provides admins with deeper insights for a more comprehensive reporting experience.

New Lattice AI Functionalities for Manager Effectiveness

At Lattice, our mission is simple: to help businesses build high-performing and engaged teams. We're doing that through our new AI-powered Writing Assist, designed to support employees and managers in requesting and delivering high-quality feedback and performance reviews.

Available in the Reviews and Feedback modules, this AI-powered feature helps all employees craft higher-quality feedback by making language more concise, inclusive, and actionable — enabling more constructive conversations.

Additionally, AI-powered Performance Summaries and Engagement Insights now offer more informed and comprehensive performance summaries for managers and HR admins alike:

  • AI-powered Performance Summaries are available for managers when they complete downward reviews. Managers will be able to see same-cycle review data — including self, peer, and upward reviews — allowing for a more effective reviews-writing process.
  • Admins can now include AI-powered Engagement Insights (including key driver analysis and comment summarization) when sharing saved views with their managers and department heads.

Amplifying Insights and Action with Lattice Engagement

You asked, we delivered: these enhancements were direct requests from customers to give admins more flexibility, provide deeper insights, and enhance action- planning capabilities — all of which improve how your engagement data is managed and utilized.

  • Add and Remove Engagement Survey Participants: Admins can now add or remove participants even after a survey is launched. Enjoy greater flexibility for including late respondents or removing those no longer with the organization or on leave.
  • Group by Review Cycles in Engagement Results: Now you can group engagement results by review cycles in the heatmap view within Engagement V2. This functionality helps you cross-reference review cycles with engagement data.
  • 80+ New Engagement Benchmarks: We’re integrating 28 new industry, region, and aggregate engagement benchmarks from Mercer, with over 60 additional country benchmarks available upon request. These benchmarks provide valuable comparative data, helping organizations set realistic goals and identify best practices for enhancing employee engagement.
  • Simplified Action Planning: Say goodbye to focus areas — instead, create your action plans from shared views. Now, multiple users can develop and manage action plans based on shared insights, ensuring engagement survey findings lead to actionable improvements.

  • Flexible Approval Chains: Admins can now modify the approval chain during setup and within active cycles, offering greater adaptability for changes like manager absences or organizational shifts.
  • Cycle Spend Reporting: New analytics features provide real-time tracking and detailed insights into compensation spending and budget management, helping you stay on top of budget allocations and ensure fair distribution.
  • Quick Filters for Compensation Benchmarking: We’ve upgraded the compensation benchmarking to a quick filters pattern, replacing the clunky drop-downs with  easy access to commonly used filters without needing to click into the full filter menu.
