Updates to Lattice Engagement: New Features Designed to Give You Deeper Insights and More Flexibility
As organizations navigate the complexities of remote work, changing employee expectations, and an increasingly competitive talent market, the ability to accurately measure and act on employee sentiment is a key differentiator for success.
Recognizing this critical need, we're thrilled to announce major updates to Lattice Engagement. This release not only brings a fresh look and feel to our platform but also introduces a ton of highly requested features designed to give organizations deeper insights and more flexibility in managing their engagement surveys.
A Fresh Look for Enhanced Usability
In addition to the brand new features (keep reading!), we've given Lattice Engagement light visual updates to improve user experience and streamline workflow. These design changes are aimed at making the platform more intuitive and efficient for all users.
Streamlined Header Bar
We've introduced a new header bar at the top of the survey page, providing quick access to all critical survey areas. Users can now easily navigate between Participation, Results, Sharing, and Action Planning sections, making survey management more efficient than ever.
Redesigned Sharing Page
The new Sharing section replaces the previous Saved Views, offering a more intuitive way to manage and distribute survey results. Users will find tabs for different types of views, eliminating the need to navigate through side panels. For quick access from the Results page, we've added a "Share results" button, streamlining the process of sharing insights with stakeholders.
Note: Shared views for Managers of Managers is currently unavailable but will be added again soon. In the meantime, you can create a custom view when sharing with these types of groups.
Enhanced Participation Page
The Participation page has received a sleek makeover, featuring a new design in both the Departments and Managers tabs. The participation percentage is now displayed in a more visually appealing manner. In the Managers tab, we've added profile photos and a new filtering option, making it easier to track and manage participation across your organization.
Refined Results Page
The Results section now sports our new, streamlined design across the Themes, Questions, and Comments tabs. We've made the distribution bars (green/yellow/red) more compact in the Themes and Questions tabs, allowing for a cleaner overall look. The Agree/Disagree distribution bar has been simplified to display as a score only, providing a quick at-a-glance understanding of results. You can also group results by performance rating within the heatmap view, however we have removed the ability to filter results or comments by performance.
The updated interface not only looks better but also helps users navigate and utilize the tool more effectively, saving time and improving the overall experience.
New Engagement Features
Strengthened Anonymity Options
We've listened to our customers and introduced a new "Strong Anonymity" setting alongside our existing "Basic" option. This feature allows admins to choose the level of anonymity that best suits their organization's needs:
- Basic Anonymity: The setting you know and love that considers the number of responses when determining anonymity. However, this option does not protect against indirect identification.
- Strong Anonymity: This new option protects against indirect identification through groupings, ensuring a higher level of confidentiality for respondents.
These enhancements ensure that employees can provide honest feedback without fear of identification, leading to more accurate engagement insights.
80+ New Industry, Region, and Country Engagement Benchmarks
Engagement benchmarks are critical to helping you understand how your team is feeling in comparison to similar industry, geography, or company size standards. Allowing your to better quantify how your company is progressing and identify areas that may require additional attention.
That’s why we’ve partnered with Mercer to bring you over eighty new engagement benchmarks across different industries, regions, and countries.
Mercer is a leading, global research firm that specializes in providing comprehensive data sets on specialized topics. Mercer surveys companies around the world to create a broad and deep data set with 1,500,000+ employee survey responses are added to Mercer’s database each year.
A team of HR practitioners have reviewed and mapped Lattice engagement survey questions against Mercer questions to ensure that the benchmarks provided for each question are true to the original content of the question.
Flexible Participant Management
Recognizing that timing doesn't always align perfectly, we've added the ability to add or remove survey participants after a survey has been launched. This flexibility ensures that no employee voices are left unheard due to logistical constraints.
Key Driver Analysis and Comment Trends
Synthesize engagement survey results and comments in seconds, not days, with our new AI-powered insights.
Once your survey is closed, you'll receive a comprehensive Key Driver Analysis, replacing our previous Impact Analysis. This new methodology identifies the top themes influencing your engagement scores by correlating theme and question results with high eNPS scores (note: an eNPS survey question is required for this feature).
Lattice AI then delivers a summary of findings, highlighting the most impactful themes and providing recommended actions for improvement. You will also be able to access comment trends that summarize major feedback themes from all open-ended comments on the survey. Please note that we no longer offer sentiment analysis of comments, focusing instead on these more valuable AI applications.
As an Admin, you can include all of these engagement insights when creating and sharing saved views, empowering functional leaders to make informed decisions quickly and act on real-time feedback.
Simplified Action Planning
We've streamlined the action planning process to make it easier for you and your people leaders to communicate and implement improvements based on engagement survey results.
Action planning is now tied to shared views, allowing survey admins to invite specific stakeholders - such as managers, department heads, or team leaders - to create action plans tailored to their areas of responsibility. These action plan owners can develop strategies that address the unique needs and feedback of their respective teams or departments.
Once created, action plans can be published, giving relevant employees insight into the concrete steps being taken to address their feedback and improve engagement. This new approach facilitates better alignment between different levels of the organization, ensuring that action plans are coordinated and effective.
Note: We have removed suggested actions and focus area functionality as part of this update. For recommended actions, you can reference the insights provided from your Key Driver Analysis.
Expanded Comment Assignment
Building on the success of our comment assignment feature, we've extended its functionality to onboarding and exit surveys. This addition allows organizations to gain deeper insights into the crucial early stages of an employee's journey and their reasons for departure.
Import Historic Data
To provide a more comprehensive view of engagement trends, we've introduced the ability to import previous company and department-level engagement survey data into Lattice. This feature allows organizations to maintain continuity in their engagement tracking, even if they're new to the Lattice platform.
Empowering Organizations for the Future of Work
As we continue to navigate the complexities of the modern workplace, tools that provide accurate, actionable insights into employee engagement will be invaluable. With these updates, Lattice Engagement is poised to help organizations not just measure engagement, but truly understand and improve it, creating resilient, productive, and innovative workplaces ready for whatever the future holds.
All of these features are available now when you launch a new survey! We're excited to see how these new features will empower you to build even stronger, more engaged teams.
