January 2025 Product Updates: Compensation Cycle Improvements, New Checkr Integration, and More

Announcements
January 31, 2025

As we kick off the new year, we’re excited to introduce updates that enhance the Lattice experience for all users. This month’s updates focus on improving analytics accessibility, refining the compensation cycle experience, and offering greater flexibility in compensation statement shareouts.

Unlocking Better Insights with Custom Permissions

Calibration Custom Permissions now apply to Review Reporting as well. Users with targeted permissions, including View and edit calibration or Administer calibration, will now have access to calibration analytics within Review Cycle Results. This data will be scoped to their target group, ensuring relevant insights without overexposing information.

This release expands access to Calibration Analytics beyond Super Admins and global permission users, allowing more HR professionals to analyze calibration results and uncover potential biases.

Compensation Updates For a Smoother, More Flexible Experience

Recommender View UX Improvements: Based on customer feedback, we’ve refined the Recommender View experience within Compensation. Updates include a cleaner visual hierarchy, improved support for $ and % toggles, fixes to auto-save functionality, and optimized performance for large organizations. Users will also notice clearer form validation instructions and more responsive inputs for a smoother interaction.

Compensation Cycle Shareout Templates: Admins can now create multiple shareout templates for delivering compensation cycle results, allowing for tailored messaging based on different employee groups. This update introduces more flexibility for companies that often require multiple templates for varying roles, performance levels, and company results.

More Control, Visibility, and Efficiency with Lattice HRIS

Enhanced Document Management: January brought powerful upgrades to Documents, giving admins more flexibility and control. With the addition of open text boxes, admins can collect more information through forms — like enabling new hires to fill out W-4s directly in Onboarding. Improved UX/UI makes document management smoother, allowing for the ability to unsend or remove documents when needed. Plus, targeted permissions now let admins restrict document access by department or employee group, ensuring the right people have visibility while keeping sensitive information secure.

Greater Admin Visibility on Employee Data: Admins can now manage employee data with greater precision. Future Permissions allow you to grant visibility into upcoming changes — like an employee’s manager transition — before they take effect. Additionally, comp band and compa ratio data now surface directly in the Employee Profile, if available, providing critical context to make more informed decisions around compensation.

Save Time on Background Checks with Lattice + Checkr: Admins can now initiate and track Checkr background checks directly in Lattice. Once enabled in Admin Panel > Platform > Integrations, background checks can be triggered during new hire Onboarding, with status updates visible in Lattice.
