Engagement
  • Hide comments in shared views: To give admins deeper customization with levels of transparency for engagement data, you can now choose to hide comments when sharing a saved view with another individual. Those individuals will still be able to see the survey results, but comments will not appear.
  • eNPS for Pulse: Start measuring eNPS using pulse surveys! eNPS is your north star metric for employee experience. It asks the question, “How likely are you to recommend our company as a place to work?” on a scale of 0–10. Learn about setting up eNPS for pulse surveys.
  • Select Participants for Engagement Surveys: We've received a lot of helpful feedback about usability improvements for selecting engagement survey participants, and we're excited to announce a few significant updates. You can now add all employees to a survey quickly, or use filters (including custom attributes) to bulk select and add participants.
Grow
  • Grow Early Access Program: Lattice Grow gives employees a clear roadmap for their career growth at your company. And with Lattice Grow tied to Performance, managers and employees have the tools to have productive career conversations.
  • Competencies, Levels, and Tracks give employees a vision for their professional growth and sets expectations for their current and next role. Admins can create competencies and tracks in Lattice from scratch or upload their existing matrices through a CSV.
  • Growth Plans and Growth Areas provide a framework for employees to work with their manager to identify opportunities to meet those expectations. Employees can choose competencies from their own track or from another track.
  • Integrating with 1:1s links growth areas with 1:1 agendas so employees and managers can review progress together over time.
  • Integrating with the Reviews Context Panel lets managers reference their reports' growth areas while writing reviews, and all reviewers can reference reviewee competencies, so they can tailor their responses to each reviewee's job's expectations.
  • Linking HRIS and Custom Attributes allows Grow's job levels and expectations to automatically update when employees are promoted.

Learn more about Grow, or request early access by contacting your Customer Success Manager or our Customer Care Team.

HRIS
OKRs & Goals
Performance
  • Participant Selector for Reviews: We've added a few improvements to make selecting participants for performance reviews much simpler. You can now add all employees to a review instantly, or use filters and custom attributes to bulk select and add groups of employees together.
  • Tag Multiple Values in Feedback in Slack: Slack recently updated interactions with apps to use modal inputs rather than dialog boxes. This is a subtle change for users, but for us, it unlocks a lot more opportunities for more complex and interesting user actions between Lattice and Slack. So far, we've updated the feedback interaction so that you can now tag multiple values to feedback right from Slack.
  • 1:1 Action Items: 1:1 participants can now capture action items during 1:1 discussions. With Action Items, you and your direct reports are able to assign ownership and will get reminded of your outstanding Action Items before your next 1:1s. When the action is complete, check it off and celebrate the win! Learn more about using action items in your 1:1.
  • New Avatar for Company Talking Points: These talking points now show up in the 1:1 meeting with a new avatar now instead of the manager’s face. This makes it much more clear which agenda items are unique to this 1:1 and which are company-wide talking points.

Platform
  • Expanded breadth of custom attributes: We've added support for more default HRIS attributes to be added to Lattice via custom attributes for the Namely, Zenefits, and Rippling integrations
  • Adjust Your Avatar: Until now, we used an algorithm to automatically focus on the face in an uploaded profile picture, or avatar. For most, this worked fine. But for some, their avatars were strangely cut off or focused on the wrong area which was understandably frustrating. Now, when a user uploads an image, they can pan and zoom anywhere to find the perfect angle. Users can also edit their current avatar in the same way.

Performance
  • Request feedback from multiple people: Feedback is crucial to personal and professional growth. Now, we've made it easy to request feedback from up to 10 people in a single request in Lattice.
  • Ad Hoc 1:1s: With ad hoc 1:1s, you can now schedule a 1:1 meeting with anyone at anytime. You don't have to set a regular cadence, and they won't interrupt the regular 1:1s you have already set. Learn more about scheduling ad hoc 1:1s.
  • Update Answers as Talking Points: 1:1s and Updates are now further connected by allowing you to add an employee's Update answer as a talking point for your next 1:1. This encourages conversations around sentiment scores, review progress, and celebrate wins together. See how to add an update answer as a talking point.
  • Sentiment Reporting Improvements: Now you can see the sentiment trend of your direct report over the past 4 possible updates rather than an all-time average. Sentiment scores now better reflect the present state, while all-time averages are still available in admin reporting.
  • Improved Text Editor:  The text editor is one of those utilities that holds everything together. It's an unsung hero, so to speak. Our team completely rebuilt the text editor from the ground up to make it even more heroic so you can have an even more seamless experience using Lattice.
Platform
  • Celebrations: As we have adjusted to our new work from home lives, it is harder to stay connected with each other, so we created Celebrations to bring back a bit of joy into the workday. With Celebrations enabled, you will see a new tab in the Company page where you can see new hires, anniversaries, and birthdays. And best of all, we help you start the celebration with some flair over their avatars. Turn on employee celebrations.
  • Toggle Office Party: We've heard that lots of customers have been loving Office Party as a way to get to know everyone at their company. But in case the competition gets too heated, you can now turn off Office Party. Learn more about Office Party.
  • Disconnect individuals from HRIS: Admins can now select to disconnect an individual employee when, for example, an HRIS sync accidentally created duplicate users.

  • Select Review Deliverable Types: You are now able to select different deliverable types for upward and peer feedback. This enables more customization around how review feedback is shared based on the review to ensure that the right people are getting the appropriate feedback visibility. Learn more about deliverable types.
  • Anonymize Reviewer Feedback with Managers: We've added a new review sharing option: "Only share feedback with reviewee's managers with reviewers' comments anonymized". Under this setting, reviewer feedback will be anonymous to both the reviewee and the manager. If the review uses private questions, Lattice will notify you about which questions will have different settings.
  • Private + Manager Visibility for External Feedback: Requesting external feedback has been especially helpful to companies with project-based relationships with clients. Now, you also have the ability to request feedback from a person outside your company with private + manager visibility. The external person answering the request will see the message “This will be shared with ___ and their manager.” See a refresher about how to request external feedback.
  • Streamlined 1:1 Notes: We simplified 1:1 shared notes by allowing both participants of 1:1s to see shared notes after they are written. No need to hit "Share" anymore, and notes are always auto-saved.
  • New Visibility for Custom Relationships: You can now check a box that allows managers of a custom attribute relationship, like a dotted-line manager, to “view manager context panel and recommendations in 1:1s”.
  • Recommended Talking Points: To give managers and employees a head-start on driving meaningful 1:1 conversations, you can now find a series of recommended talking points right in the 1:1s tool to add to your agendas. The recommended talking points have been gathered from researchers in organizational behavior and people leaders at some of today's most innovative companies. Take a look at Using Recommended Talking Points and the Recommended Talking Points Library in the Help Center to learn more.
  • Simplifying Completed 1:1s: We received feedback from customers that reviewing a 1:1 to complete it is confusing. We agree – the idea of completing a 1:1 like a task is strange! We've now removed the "Reviewed" functionality to streamline 1:1s.
Platform
  • API Improvements: We've improved the user experience for creating API keys in a few helpful ways. It's now much easier to connect data to other systems with UserID and Goal relationships.
  • HRIS Integration Improvements: Now you can add a custom attribute from Namely, Rippling, and Zenefits (not just BambooHR!). You can also now link an existing custom attribute to an HRIS attribute for all of our HRIS integrations.

  • Add eNPS to Engagement Surveys: eNPS is your north star metric for employee experience. It measures the likelihood of whether an employee would be willing to recommend your organization as a place to work. Now you can add the eNPS question directly into your next engagement survey in Lattice. Enable eNPS in your next survey.
  • View a Pulse Comment Feed in Slack: As anonymous comments get submitted through Pulse, we add them to the Slack channel of the admins choosing for the exec team to have a real-time feel and heartbeat of company without having to log into Lattice. This gives certain people at your company the ability to stay up to date on pulse survey activity and collaborate around action faster. See how the pulse comment feed will look.
  • Benchmark for the COVID-19 Crisis Response Survey: Companies that have used our COVID 19 questions and template will now have access to a new benchmark in the comparison dropdown menu. The benchmark is made up of over 100 companies and gives you more context for interpreting and taking action on your survey results. Learn more about the crisis response survey benchmark.
  • The Crisis Response Survey Template: We created an engagement survey template specifically tailored to help People Teams get an understanding of how employees are feeling with questions focusing on COVID-19, remote work, and more. Get started with the survey template.
  • Select Participants in Pulse Surveys: Pulse admins now have the ability to select specific participants for a pulse survey. This works in the exact same way as the filter bar within automation and is editable at any point in time. Learn more about setting up a pulse survey.

  • Duis aute irure dolor in reprehenderit in voluptate velit esse cillum dolore eu fugiat nulla pariatur.
Performance
  • Simplifying Re-Opening Reviews: You can now re-open an individual review from the reviewees sidebar during all stages of the review cycle. Reopen submitted reviews and scores even if the review cycle is closed. No more navigating between reviewers and reviewees tabs to re-open one review!
  • Increase number of praise targets: You can now send praise to up to 10 people at once!
  • Easily Re-Sync With Calendar Integrations: You can now completely remove the calendar integration from Lattice by clicking “disconnect all calendars”. This allows you to remove your email if you accidentally linked your personal calendar. Also, you can restore a calendar sync due to unexpected authorization errors. This occasionally happens when, for example, a user removes access for Lattice from their calendar provider or we remove the auth record. Now you can quickly restore the calendar sync so your 1:1s are accurate.
Platform
  • Nightly Sync with Rippling and Zenefits: Zenefits and Rippling integrations are dependent on realtime events to keep Lattice up to date. Occasionally, Lattice can fall out of sync with the HRIS when these happen. This update allows you to configure full syncs at night in addition to the live updates. This makes sure Lattice will have the most recent employee data available.
  • Improved Readability & Styles: We modified our styles to be higher contrast and more readable. We also consolidated some inconsistencies between Windows users and MacOS users. Now regardless of your platform, everyone will see the exact same styles in Lattice.
