Important Update to Lattice’s AI Features

Lattice is changing how personally identifiable information (PII) is handled with our AI-powered features—particularly Engagement Insights, Performance Summarization, and Recommended Growth Areas.

What’s Changing

Previously, we automatically scrubbed PII from data used in certain AI-powered features before sharing that data with OpenAI. While this added an extra layer of security, it sometimes removed important context — especially for other features like the AI Agent, which rely on specific information (like names or roles) to deliver relevant and useful responses.

To improve the performance and accuracy of these features, we will no longer scrub personally identifiable information (PII). Instead, we’re relying on strong, enterprise-grade safeguards to ensure your data remains private, secure, and never used for training. With this change, OpenAI becomes a subprocessor for all Lattice AI features.

Why You Can Feel Confident That Your Data is Secure

Zero Data Retention: We’ve partnered with OpenAI under an enterprise agreement that guarantees no data is stored or retained. All prompts and responses are processed securely and returned in real time.

No Training on Customer Data: Your data is never used to train AI models — neither by OpenAI nor by Lattice.

Enterprise-Grade Security: All data, including AI requests, is handled with the same strict security, compliance, and privacy protocols used throughout Lattice.

Minimal Data Sharing: We only share the minimum necessary data to help the AI provide accurate, relevant responses — never more than is required.
