The shortest month of the year didn’t slow down our innovation. This February, we focused on helping teams analyze data more intuitively, manage reviews and calibrations with greater flexibility, and get even more value from the Lattice Agent.

From fiscal-year analytics and grouped question reporting to mid-cycle compensation updates, these releases are all about reducing manual work and improving clarity across your people workflows.

Let’s dive in.

Analyze Trends More Intuitively in Analytics

We’ve made several improvements to Analytics and reporting to help you see patterns more clearly, especially across cycles and time periods.

Group Engagement and Review Questions & Fiscal Year + Quarter Support

You can now group similar or conceptually related questions in Charts for Engagement surveys and Review cycles. This means questions like “Overall performance” and “Overall performance rating” can be analyzed together, giving you a cleaner, more meaningful trend line over time instead of fragmented data.

And grouping review questions isn’t just available in Charts, it’s also available directly in Review Results (Average Score and Heatmap views). This enables cleaner aggregation across cycles without exporting data and manually pivoting it outside of Lattice.

Additionally, Analytics Charts now support Fiscal Quarter and Fiscal Year time periods (based on your company’s fiscal year start month). This makes it much easier for organizations operating on fiscal calendars to align reporting with internal planning and executive reviews.

Our analytics work this last month doesn’t stop here:

  • Targeted Permissions for Performance Ratings: You can now grant more granular access to performance rating data in Analytics. Instead of all-or-nothing access, admins can control visibility by group or filter, improving privacy and flexibility.
  • Feedback Requested Measure in Charts: You can also measure how often employees request feedback, rather than just give or receive it. This gives leaders a more complete view of feedback culture and whether employees are proactively seeking input.

Group related review questions directly in Embedded Review Analytics to analyze cleaner score trends across cycles without exporting or manually aggregating data.

Run Review Cycles with More Control and Less Manual Work

We shipped several updates this month to help admins launch and manage review cycles (and calibrations!) with less manual work and more control, especially in complex or high-volume environments.

  • Bulk Peer Reviewer Upload (CSV): Assign or override peer reviewers for an entire cycle in one upload instead of clicking into each reviewee individually.
  • Review Packet Visibility Controls: Decide exactly which review directions (upward, downward, peer, self) calibration participants can access, increasing psychological safety during calibration conversations.
  • All Fields Available in Filters: Standardize filter bars across the platform so every available field is visible and usable, making filtering predictable and intuitive.

Together, these changes make review and calibrations faster and more scalable.

Manage Compensation Changes with More Confidence

Comp cycles don’t always go exactly as planned, especially when eligibility changes after launch. Our latest round of Compensation updates focuses on recovery, flexibility, and reducing admin stress when mid-cycle adjustments are needed.

Clearer Eligibility & One-Click Recalculation

  • Recalculate Budget & Guidance During Active Cycles: Receive proactive alerts when eligibility changes impact budgets, and recalculate affected guidance in one click.
  • Mid-Cycle Eligibility Status Change: You can now easily move employees from Hidden → Eligible mid-cycle (when pay data is present) without restarting the cycle.
  • Explainable Employee Eligibility: Simplify eligibility logic by rolling rules into the filter bar, making setup clearer and less error-prone.

These updates reduce support burden, prevent unnecessary restarts, and ensure compensation decisions are based on accurate, up-to-date data.

Manage Goals Better with an Enhanced Experience

We’ve shipped our final milestone in the Goals UI/UX refresh to improve clarity and execution tracking. To our Goals customers, thank you for the continued feedback.

  • Participation and Status tabs now use the platform-standard data table with sorting and column controls for a more cohesive experience.
  • Breadcrumbs persist through drilldowns to keep users anchored in context.
  • A new “Needs Update” filter and dedicated view makes it easier to update multiple goals in cadence.
  • Department and team drilldowns have been rebuilt with structured tables for better navigation.

With this final milestone, we focused on clearer metadata, easier updates, and less friction when managing goals at scale.

Make the Lattice Agent Easier to Activate and Use

We’ve also refined how users access and activate Lattice Agent to reduce confusion. Super Admins activating the Agent for the first time will now see a simplified, one-page onboarding experience with everything they need to get started, including FAQs, access to the testing center, and clear guidance on customizing permissions and document uploads.

Lastly, we also updated the global search experience to more clearly distinguish between traditional search and AI queries. This reduces accidental Agent activation while making the “Ask AI” functionality more discoverable and intentional.

Activate and configure Lattice Agent from a streamlined, one-page onboarding experience designed to guide Super Admins through setup, customization, and testing.
