Fall is here, and so is a packed month of product updates.

September brought improvements to how ratings work across Lattice, stronger compliance controls for compensation and reviews, and another step forward in our MCP expansion. Let's dive in!

Expand Your AI Ecosystem

Lattice MCP is now available as a native connector in the Glean Connector Library. HR teams using Glean can connect Lattice, create automated flows for reviews, updates, and feedback, and bring Lattice data into their Workforce Intelligence reporting.

It's another way to work with Lattice from the AI tools your team already uses every day.

Get More Precision in Every Review

Summing up performance in one score has often meant trade-offs. Ratings got rounded to whole numbers, and goals and competencies stayed out of the math. Two updates this month close both gaps.

Rating scales now support decimal increments down to 0.1, and every downstream surface — reviews, calibration, analytics, compensation — treats those values as real numbers instead of rounding them. For most customers, this means one thing they’ve been requesting for a while: half points. A reviewer on a 5-point scale can select 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, or 4.5 and that's exactly what shows up everywhere else in the product. Decimal increments are opt-in, and teams that prefer whole numbers keep their existing scales.

Goals and Competencies in Weighted Scores extends what weighted scores can capture. Admins can now combine downward review ratings, goals, and competencies into a single overall score and choose how much each section contributes. Scores are automatically normalized when sections use different rating scales, and if an employee has no goals or competencies on file, that section's weight is redistributed evenly across the rest. Customers can finally bring results, behaviors, and manager assessments together without manually reconciling different scales, and bring that score into their existing calibration workflow.

‍

Add half-point options like 2.5, 3.5, and 4.5 to a rating scale for more flexible workflows.

Control What Gets Shared and Signed

A few updates this month give admins sharper tools for managing how sensitive HR content moves (or doesn't!) outside the platform.

  • Disable Review Packet Sharing: Super Admins can now turn off packet sharing and export at the cycle level. When sharing is off, review content stays inside the platform: peer, manager, and self feedback, all of it. For customers in regulated industries with strict data-handling policies, this closes a compliance gap. It also unlocks something bigger for many of our customers: 360-degree feedback in talent reviews.
  • e-Signatures for Compensation Statements: Admins can now require employees to e-sign their compensation statements and track each acknowledgment with a timestamp. Signature status, date, and time are visible in Shareout Progress and exportable via CSV withou a separate signature tool rquired. This brings Compensation to parity with Reviews, where packet acknowledgment already exists.
  • Granular Goals Permissions: Admins can now manage Company Goals and Department Goals with separate permissions, giving organizations more flexibility in how goal management responsibilities are assigned across teams.
Turn off packet sharing for a review cycle so review content stays inside Lattice with its intended audience.

Take Control Across the Platform

Other platform updates this month give admins more control over how Lattice reaches employees across tools and regions.

  • Support for Slack Enterprise Accounts: Slack Enterprise admins can now install Lattice across their entire Slack organization (not just a single workspace) and direct broadcast notifications like Praise to any channel across the org. Large enterprises that operate across multiple Slack workspaces can now meet employees where they already work, regardless of which workspace they're in.
  • Self-Localization of Custom Naming: Admins can now enter custom singular and plural translations for every supported term in each language Lattice supports, right from the same custom naming settings page. This enables global companies to deliver a consistent, locally relevant experience across every region and language.
  • Notification Channel Selector: Admins can now set an org-wide list of allowed notification delivery channels, including Email, Slack, and Microsoft Teams, from the Notification Settings page. Cycle notifications deliver only through the channels the admin has enabled. Employees still manage their own preferences, but only within the boundaries the org allows.
