Lattice is expanding its executive leadership team with a new addition: Cheryl Sanclemente will join the company as its first Chief Communications Officer. Cheryl brings nearly two decades of experience in global corporate communications, including leadership roles at Salesforce and C3 AI.
At Lattice, we understand the power of storytelling around HR and people leaders as a way to elevate the profession and the strategic impact of the function. We are also fortunate enough to hear every day from our incredible customers and the Resources for Humans community about all the challenges and triumphs they face in the course of their work. Cheryl will bring a strategic eye to all of these important narratives, as well as Lattice’s own story, to amplify the brand's impact and expand Lattice’s footprint in the HR community and beyond.
“Every company wants to understand how to unlock deeper levels of engagement and productivity among their workforce – because stronger teams mean better business outcomes, period,” said Sanclemente. “Lattice is uniquely positioned to do just that, leveraging AI and a powerful suite of talent tools to accelerate employee engagement, augment managers, and empower high-performing teams. It’s a powerful story to tell, and I'm thrilled to join the company at this pivotal moment to expand Lattice’s storytelling and communications impact – to help more companies and their people thrive.”
“I learned so much from Sarah’s leadership during my time at Salesforce,” Sanclemente continued. “I was lucky enough to have a front row seat as she transformed Salesforce’s approach to learning through Trailhead, which resulted in millions of Trailblazers around the world building careers on the platform. She deeply understands how to cultivate – and scale – a strong customer community. I believe in her vision for Lattice, and can’t wait to help her bring it to life.”
Cheryl will lead Lattice’s global communications team, including all internal and external communications, community relations, executive engagement programs and the Office of the CEO.
"I am thrilled to welcome Cheryl as Lattice’s first-ever Chief Communications Officer. Cheryl is not only a master in the craft of strategic communications, she is also an incredible leader and team builder who believes deeply in the importance of making work meaningful,” said Sarah Franklin, CEO of Lattice. “She is a perfect addition to Lattice. I am so excited to work with her again and see all that we will accomplish together!"
Most recently, Cheryl was the Vice President of Corporate Communications at C3 AI, where her leadership spanned corporate and product public relations, CEO communications, and content strategy across the C3 AI blog and social channels.
Prior to that, Cheryl was Vice President of PR at Salesforce, where she led communications for employee success, corporate social responsibility, equality, real estate, financial results, corporate brand partnerships, and product PR for eight years.
Cheryl will assume the Chief Communications Officer role on May 28 and report into Lattice CEO Sarah Franklin.
