May 2025 Product Updates: Smoother Reviews, Sharper Goals, Ethena Integration, and More

Announcements
May 31, 2025

It’s been a busy month at Lattice, and we’re excited to share what’s new. In May, we rolled out updates across the platform to help teams set goals more easily, complete reviews faster, and navigate with more ease. From new HRIS integrations to exportable growth data, these changes are all about making everyday work smoother and more impactful.

Let’s dive in!

Meet your always-on teammate: the Lattice AI Agent

The future of HR isn’t just faster — it’s smarter, more human, and more impactful. The Lattice AI Agent is your always-on teammate built to answer employee questions. Today, HR teams spend 57% of their time on manual tasks.

The Lattice AI Agent changes that. It automates repetitive HR questions without losing the human touch, giving employees instant, personalized answers to questions, like "How do I update my direct deposit?" or "What's our parental leave policy?" all grounded in your company's policies and systems. Soon, the Agent will surface real insights and coach managers and employees in real time.

The Agent is fully embedded into the Lattice platform, helping teams get more done with less stress. As one customer put it: “It’s like we hired a full-time HR admin overnight—without the headcount.”

The Lattice AI Agent is available to try for free until June 2026 for a limited time.

The Lattice AI Writing Assist just got smarter

Your voice matters when we build Lattice products! We received tons of feedback from customers about how we could make our AI Writing Assist easier to use and more helpful. Now live in Feedback, Updates, and Reviews, the enhanced Writing Assist lets you choose the type of support you need, from grammar fixes to tone adjustments to overall polish.

You’ll see every change with clear before-and-after views, so you can tweak, approve, or skip. It’s AI that works with you, not around you.

Complete Reviews and Calibration with Ease

We introduced several updates this month to streamline performance workflows. In calibrations, facilitators can now bulk-accept manager ratings — no more clicking through entries one by one or relying on workarounds. On the reviews side, we launched the first in a series of improvements to the form experience, all designed to help teams complete evaluations faster and with less friction:

  • Admins can now reorder and group Goals and Competencies to streamline layout.
  • Multiple goals and competencies are now grouped under a single question defined in the template, making it easier to read the form.
  • Users can access full competency descriptions and goal details directly from the context panel.

Together, these releases make it easier and more efficient for HR leaders to complete reviews and calibrations, so they can spend less time on manual work and more time on meaningful people strategies.

Continuing to Enhance Lattice Goals

This month’s enhancements to Goals focus on making it easier to manage and replicate goals across your organization. Admins can now grant duplication permissions to managers and department heads, and users can duplicate a parent goal along with its child goals in one step.

We’ve also made the goal-setting experience more intuitive with a round of UX improvements:

  • Filter between Objectives and Key Results when aligning to parent goals
  • Sort goals in Cascade View by title, due date, last updated, and status
  • Expand all goals at once in Cascade View for easier navigation
  • Use new filters on Participation and Status pages for more consistency
  • Benefit from cleaner settings and simplified reminder options

Stay tuned for more Goals updates throughout the year!

Get More from Lattice Grow and Compensation

Admins using Grow can now export key growth data directly from Lattice! Your org’s growth data, whenever you need it, is available in Lattice. The new export options include:

  • Growth Area Report (by owner and timeline)
  • Growth Area Updates Log (with timestamps)
  • Growth Area Actions Log (with due dates)

Each export includes default and custom employee fields, making analysis more flexible.

We’ve also made compensation shareouts more customizable, with new toggles for displaying or hiding base pay, variable pay, total comp, and current pay. And for organizations using weighted performance scoring, those scores can now appear alongside compensation recommendations for added context.

The table lists growth areas by owner, with columns for title, linked competency, track, number of actions, status, published date, and last edited date. A “Download CSV” button appears in the top-right corner. The left-hand navigation shows active sections for Grow and Goals.
Admins can export key growth data — like Growth Areas, Updates, and Actions — with just a click.

More Control and Flexibility for HRIS Admins

We’ve expanded the ways your team can tailor Lattice HRIS to meet unique organizational needs. Termination workflows are now more dynamic. Tasks can be triggered relative to the termination or last working day, ensuring offboarding stays on track. Time off accruals are more flexible, with new options to set custom start dates when assigning policies. We’ve also improved role-based permissions for time off management, making it easier to define who can access and act on what. And for global organizations, new sensitive custom fields let you securely track data like Social Insurance Numbers (SIN) or National Insurance Numbers (NIN), helping teams stay compliant across regions.

Smarter Document Management in Lattice HRIS

This month’s document updates are all about speed, flexibility, and clarity. Lattice HRIS admins can now upload multiple documents to employee profiles at once, saving time and reducing manual steps. E-signature documents are also more powerful, with the ability to include any field from the employee record. To make things easier on the eyes, we’ve refreshed the document table and header UI with a cleaner, more modern look. And for greater control, documents of all types can now be archived or deleted, and you can unshare, unsend, or reshare them at any level - individual, folder, or company-wide.

A More Connected HR Stack

We believe your HRIS should work with the tools that work best for your business. That’s why Lattice is committed to an open integration ecosystem - one where your systems stay connected, your data stays accurate, and your workflows stay smooth. This month, we launched a new integration with Ethena, allowing automatic employee creation, updates, and terminations based on changes in Lattice HRIS. Plus, Lattice HRIS API now supports custom fields, so your unique employee data can flow seamlessly into your other systems. These updates make it easier to build a best-in-class tech stack that scales with you.
