We’re kicking off the year with updates that bring more clarity and efficiency to your HR workflows in Lattice. This January, we introduced new AI Agent capabilities to help teams get faster answers from their data, launched custom naming to align Lattice with your company’s language, and added smarter ways to manage permissions and reporting. These updates are designed to help HR teams, managers, and employees work more efficiently, right from the start of 2026.

Let’s dive in!

Get AI Answers Instantly, from Goals to Headcount

The Lattice Agent just got smarter and more valuable than ever.

Chat with Lattice Goals

You can now ask the Agent to summarize, flag, or report on goals using natural language. Quickly check team progress, highlight stalled goals, or view alignment across the org without digging into dashboards. You can ask questions like:

  • “Which of my team’s goals are behind schedule?”
  • “Show me goals that haven’t been updated in 30 days.”
  • “Give me a summary of company-level goal progress.”

Direct Quantitative Answers

The Agent now answers questions like “How many feedback requests were sent last quarter?” or “What percentage of employees submitted updates this month?” using real-time Lattice data. This feature helps users quickly access people insights without needing to export CSVs or navigate dashboards.

Ask the Lattice Agent quantitative questions like “How many of my team members have 1:1s scheduled?” and receive clear, structured responses.

Streamline Feedback with New Workflows

We’ve made improvements to help companies tailor their feedback culture and reduce friction in the experience.

Custom Feedback Templates

Admins can now create and manage custom feedback templates that appear directly in the feedback request flow, so employees can choose prompts that feel more relevant to their team or role. This helps drive more natural, thoughtful feedback across the org.

Deprecation of Notes to Self

To simplify the feedback modal and remove underused features, we’ve removed the Notes to Self option. As a workaround, we recommend using private 1:1 notes or manager-only feedback if you're logging feedback for your direct reports.

Customize the Platform with Company-Specific Language

Super admins can now rename key Lattice terms like Feedback, Review, Track, or Growth Area to match their org’s internal language and culture. Changes apply globally across the platform, including in emails and Slack/Teams notifications. This reduces rollout friction, boosts adoption, and makes Lattice feel like a more natural extension of how teams already communicate. You can see the full list of customizable in-product names here

Super admins can now rename default Lattice terms like “Manager” or “Department” to better align with your company’s internal language and culture.

Expand Visibility with Smarter Permissions and Exports

We’ve made several improvements to give our users more flexibility and control when managing access to performance data and reports.

  • Permissions Export: Download a full CSV of all system, custom, and temporary role permissions to streamline audits and simplify access reviews.
  • Expanded Access to Review Responses Custom Reports: Review admins and users with manage/view permissions can now use the custom export tool, which previously only available to super admins, to filter, reorder, and customize review exports.
  • Additional Data in Review Response Exports: Simple and custom exports now include key fields like packet release/share/acknowledgment dates and calibrated rating descriptions. This provides deeper visibility into where feedback is delivered and how it’s received.

Recalculate Budget & Guidance During Active Comp Cycles

Employee eligibility often shifts during compensation cycles, due to new hires, terminations, or manager changes. This new feature notifies admins when a recalculation is needed and provides a one-click modal to update guidance or budget for affected users. This new release wull help teams avoid misalignment and ensures decisions are based on accurate, up-to-date data.

Navigate More Easily in Grow and Engagement

We’ve updated the UI in Grow and Engagement to match the standard Lattice experience and reduce friction for end users.

  • The fullscreen modal pattern has been deprecated and pages now load like any other standard page in Lattice.
  • The left and top navigation bars are now always visible, making it easier to move between areas.
  • Breadcrumbs have been added to the header so users always know where they are, and can quickly navigate back.

This update is part of our broader platform effort to unify design patterns and make navigating Lattice more intuitive across the board.
