I am a startup HR leader with a decade of experience scaling People Operations in fast growing tech companies. My consultancy works with small to medium size technology clients who need help building People foundations or managing their people teams on a fractional basis.

I’ve spent the last 10 years in business operations and people operations with a focus on high growth venture-backed companies. My consultancy focuses on companies with fewer than 1000 people who value progressive HR and see it as a strategic function.

I’ve been a People Leader at four venture-backed companies that have scaled to unicorn+ status where I built and led the people strategy through hyper-growth. I now advise CEOs, People Leaders, and Venture Capital Firms to bring those learnings to companies as they transition to globally distributed people-first cultures.

I am blessed to be celebrating 22 years as a “professional” with 15 years supporting and impacting organizational growth and human capital strategies. In my role with Talent Magnet Institute, I am honored to be a business partner to the CEO & Co-Founder so that we may actualize the vision of unlocking human potential and changing the world through leadership development in life, work, relationships, and community. I work with the CEO to filter and translate ideas into the functional plans of the business while supporting innovation and challenging the norm. Areas of responsibility within the Organizational Leadership Consulting Business include Business Operations, Marketing, Finance, Investor Relations, and Sales.

I’ve spent my entire career (12 years) in scaling businesses, first starting in talent acquisition before moving to People Ops. My last full time role was as VP People at Peakon, the Employee Engagement platform. I now run The People Collective, an 8 person business, helping companies who need to build strong foundations or solve specific people challenges, with a product thinking approach as they grow, to avoid people debt.

At The People Design House, we help you to reinforce your mission, values, behaviors, and the outcomes for your business through simple people strategy. We provide tactical frameworks, processes, and toolkits that we’ve used in our own operational roles to support hyper-growth while avoiding people & culture debt.

Over the past 14 years in-house at startups, scale-ups and corporate organizations, I’ve had the opportunity to work with some of the best (and worst) people managers, leaders and employees.Throughout my career I’ve:

  • Scaled remote first culture (prior to the pandemic)

I hold an MBA but I’m not an academic. Up & to the Right focuses on enabling leaders and their teams to meet their business goals. We believe that your people and your business are not mutually exclusive. One cannot be successful without the other.
